Maurice Campbell

President – One Stop Cares

Prior to joining OHS, Maurice was the Senior Vice President of Corporate & External Affairs at Virginia Union University (VUU).  During this time at VUU Maurice was responsible for the Offices of Institutional Advancement, Branding & Marketing, Government Relations, and Business & Community Development.  He increased fundraising by over 264% to over $12M annually.  He oversaw government relations with the Commonwealth of Virginia that led to the university being awarded appropriations from the state budget for the first time for $1M.  In addition, Maurice served as the Secretary for the Department of Defense’s Minority Supplier council.  He was the author and principal investigator for federal and state grants receiving for over $3M.  During his tenure at the university he created and implemented a workforce development department that ensured every student had a pathway to employment.  Maurice spearheaded a partnership with the Capital Area Health Network (CAHN) to provide on campus healthcare to students, faculty and staff.  

Prior to joining Virginia Union University in November 2017, Maurice ran Iron Lion Insurance, a retail insurance agency licensed in 14 states.  Iron Lion Insurance specialized in risk management for large non-profits and large construction accounts.   Under Maurice’s tenure Iron Lion Insurance was the risk manager for private universities in FL and VA.  Similarly, Iron Lion Insurance assisted in complex risk mitigation for some of the largest construction companies in central Florida.

Prior to starting in Iron Lion Insurance, Maurice began his career as a bank manager for First Union.  Maurice is a central Florida native and graduate from University of Florida.  He received a MBA from Crummer School Rollins College and a Juris Doctorate from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University.
